Dear Ron,
I mentioned to you a few days ago that I would like to comment on how well your satellite antenna
systems survived the recent hurricane we experienced here in Pensacola, so I have taken this oportunity
to do that.
As you will recall, we installed four (4) of your 3.7 meter satellite antenna systems at each head-end site;
three systems being fixed and one steerable system to support our pay-pey view and ad hoc programming
requirements.
On October 4 of this year, Hurricane Opal hit the Pensacola area with wind gusts up to 150 miles per hour.
Naturally, we were very concerned about the survivability, of our off-air, satellite and transmitting
antenna systems. However when the winds died down, and the power came back on, our satellite antenna
systems simply came back up on-air with no detectable degradation in signal quality. We didn't even have
to peak the antennas. We already know the you (SSE) warrant mechanical survivability of your equipment
to 125 mph, but we thought you would want to know that even with winds to 150 mph, we were very pleasantly
surprised that we experienced absolutely no damage or off-peak problems.
Thanks for and excellent product, and we look forward to an extended and mutually viable relationship.
Sincerely,
Bob Garner
